Texas Oncology in Lakeway, TX seeks a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Medical Oncology department in a full-time role. The position is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with no weekends, call, or major holidays, and can be level 1, 2, or Sr depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• BSN is preferred; active license in Texas.
• Current BLS certification; oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
• Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
• Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
• Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
• Assist patients in locating available community resources.
• Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This full time position will support the Medical Oncology department for the Lakeway location (2300 Lohmans Spur, Suite 104 Lakeway, TX 78734). This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. This position can be a level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Level 1: Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred; RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
• Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements): 3-5 years nursing experience including at least one year in oncology preferred.
• Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements): Five years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
