Job summary

Avera Spencer Clinic seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care under the direction of the provider. You will administer medications, coordinate clinic patient care, and assist with procedures and testing.

The role includes preparing equipment, observing and documenting patient information, and educating patients on diagnostics, medications, nutrition, and wellness, while upholding CARE values and compassionate teamwork.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active license in the state of practice.
• Must be able to work the hours specified (8–5).
• Ability to communicate effectively, observe and document patient information.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients and administers prescribed medications and treatments.
• Coordinates patient care activities for the clinic and prepares equipment for procedures.
• Assists provider during procedures, examinations, and testing of patients.
• Observes, records, and reports patient conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments.
• Oversees appointment scheduling and ensures priority is given to emergencies.
• Maintains exam rooms and prepares medical supplies; ensures labeling of pathology specimens.
• Responds to patient inquiries with input from the physician and educates patients on diagnostic processes and wellness.
