Our walk-in location is staffed by expertly trained clinicians, providing physical examinations, diagnostic imaging (including x-rays), and comprehensive evaluations to ensure fast, accurate diagnosis and treatment that puts you on the road to recovery as soon as possible.

Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Practice Assistant to work onsite Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 7:00pm with One Saturday per month. The home location will be 500 Merrimack Street, Lawrence, 01843. We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned departments; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments or other sites in the Merrimack Valley/Tuscan area during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).

Our Practice Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to administrative support, these Assistants serve as the gatekeepers of our practices and ensure that our team is delivering the highest quality experience that exceeds our patients' expectations.

Responsibilities:

Leading up to the patient visit, Practice Assistants schedule all appointments.
During the patient's visit, the focus is check-in, which includes greeting patients, answering all of their questions, assisting with any pre-visit paperwork/forms, and collecting co-payments.
At the conclusion of the visit, during check-out, Practice Assistants are tasked with scheduling follow-up appointments.
Other duties include handling and triaging appropriately incoming patient portal messages, walk ins, reminder calls, rescheduling when needed, monitoring patient flow, and waiting room activity, and providing general support to practice leadership, clinicians, and peers.
