Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) data conversion preferred.
  • Office experience 2-3 years required.
  • Proficiency with all Office Suite and ability to manage routine administrative tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; strong time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine administrative and clerical duties for a clinical service.
  • Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
  • Greet and assist patients; answer phones and schedule appointments.
  • File materials, print schedules, and process billing forms.
  • Scan documents to patient medical records/EPIC and retrieve records.
  • Call for patient medical records and lab results; manage messages and co-pays.
  • Serve as EPIC 'Super User' for scheduling, registration and billing; train others.

Perform tasks that are related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, and check-out duties. Actual job duties may vary by department.
