Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with one year of clerical experience.
• Ability to commute; in-person Admissions position only.
• Proficient with computer and multi-line phone system.
• Typing speed of at least 100 keystrokes per minute.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and third-party insurance preferred within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Registration and admission process activities.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Identify patients using ID and generate wristbands when needed.
• Explain and obtain signatures for consent forms and HIPAA notice.
• Enter and verify insurance information; notate insurance status.
• Scan documents into EMR and educate patients about their rights.
• Support clerical tasks across departments and answer phones.
• Assist ER and other departments with transportation or forms as needed.
• Prepare department daily checklists and routine paperwork.
