Job summary

Phelps Health in Missouri seeks a Clinic Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and clinical staff at the St. James and Vienna clinics. You will collaborate with providers, supervise office staff, manage scheduling, and ensure efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include budgeting, policy development, staff training, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other standards, while fostering a professional, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management or Business Administration; LPN/RN license may substitute.
• Minimum 3–4 years in healthcare with management experience.
• Current Missouri LPN/RN license and valid MO driver’s license.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality improvement plans to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Assist in capital and operating budgets and cost center reviews.
• Develop policies, procedures, and job descriptions; identify clinic process improvements.
• Coordinate staff orientation and competency validations; ensure training compliance.
• Supervise clinic staff and provide hiring/termination recommendations.
• Act as super user for Scheduling and EMR software; assist in setup, training, and ongoing support.
• Educate staff and patients on patient portal benefits and assist with sign-ups.
• Plan staff development, training, and continuing education.
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered atmosphere for patients and families.
• Ensure efficient office routines and patient flow; coordinate with physicians on processes.
• Schedule staff, monitor attendance, and approve PDO requests.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulations (CMS, HIPAA, JC, OSHA).
• Stay current on Rural Health Clinic regulations, Meaningful Use, and PQRS.
