Job summary

Mercycare seeks a Clinic Operations Supervisor to oversee daily clinical operations and staffing, ensuring consistent patient-centered care and strong customer service. You will support Mercy’s philosophy by enabling positive patient outcomes through nursing support to providers.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling, performance management, and collaboration with multiple departments to maintain high standards in patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Reports practice performance to the Manager and identifies operational improvements.
• Responsible for employee time reporting and staffing adequacy.
• Supervises practice staff, assigns work, and conducts training as needed.
• Reports performance issues and participates in evaluations, discipline and commendations.
• May fulfill duties of a Patient Service Coordinator or Patient Care Staff in smaller sites.
• Prepares patients for examinations, including histories, vitals, and meds, and explains procedures.
• Provides assistance with diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed by the provider.
• Completes discharge instructions, schedules follow-ups, and provides referrals as needed.
• Documents thoroughly in the electronic health record and maintains sterile/stocked exam rooms.
