Job summary

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is seeking a Clinical Assistant (RN, LPN, CMA/RMA/CCMA) to take histories and prepare patients for examinations, and to assist with exams and procedures in the clinic. The role includes patient registration, telephone duties, and rooming patients, with responsibilities across clerical and clinical tasks.

The position supports the Pulmonary Team and may involve point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a CMA program or CCMA program with clinic experience preferred.
• CCMA program completion or CMA Resident program at Memorial Hospital is acceptable.
• LPN training program completion with Indiana license is required. CPR Provider-C.
• RN training program completion with Indiana license is required. CPR Provider-C.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and prepare patients for examination across all ages.
• Assist with examinations and document/procedures as requested by the Provider.
• Perform point-of-care testing as needed and support clerical duties (registration, phones, rooming).

Job Overview

The Clinical Assistant (RN, LPN, CMA/RMA/CCMA) is responsible for history taking and preparation of patients from newborns to the elderly, for examination as well as assisting with the exam, documenting and/or procedure in the office as requested by the Provider. Will perform duties consistent with the needs of the communities served, in a manner that reflects the physical, psychological and spiritual healing ministry of Christ. This position will cover both clerical and clinical responsibilities with patient registration, telephones, and rooming patients. Will assist providers with procedures and perform point of care testing as needed. Must be organized, flexible and attentive to detail.

Pay Ranges

• CMA/RMA: $19.14-$26.79


• Clinic LPN: $22.32-$31.25


• Clinic RN: $26.04-$36.45

Qualifications

Education - CMA:

Must have successfully completed at a minimum, a certified/ registered medical assistant program, preferably, one year of experience in a physician office/outpatient clinic.

Education - CCMA:

Completion of a Medical Assisting certification program. One year of clinic experience required or completion of the CMA Resident program at Memorial Hospital.

Education - LPN:

Must have successfully completed an accredited licensed practical nurse training program with current registration in Indiana required. CPR Provider-C
