Qualifications

  • Credentialed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Indiana.
  • Proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred.

IHC Jackson County in Seymour, IN is seeking a credentialed RN or LPN to join our team as a Clinic Nurse. The Clinic Nurse is at the heart of the IHC team, collaborating closely with the Nurse Manager, Clinic Nurse Supervisor, and Clinic Providers to elevate patient education during medication distribution. Hours of Operation:

Monday - 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday - 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday - 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Thursday - 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Friday - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Clinic Nurse Job Overview:

  • Orders, inventories, and is responsible for medication room supplies
  • Responsible for proper dispensing of medications to clients
  • Functions as a support team member for providers by reinforcing patient education
  • Assists providers with Chronic Disease management
  • Maintains positive professional relationships with pharmaceutical vendors
  • Participates in the preparation and maintenance of accurate client medical records
  • Performs related work as required
  • Follows HIPAA and OSHA standards
  • Performs other work assignments related to licensure requirements
  • Assesses patients’ unmet health and social needs
  • Telephone Triage for hospital follow-up appointments and same-day appointments
  • Referral management
  • Management of medication refill Requests
  • Prior authorizations for medications

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited RN or LPN program
  • Currently credentialed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Indiana
  • Proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AED included)
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
