Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Central Region RN Float Nurse to provide triage and provider support across multiple pediatric clinics in southeast Wisconsin. The RN will deliver age-appropriate care, educate families on self-management and preventive health, and maintain nursing competencies in a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Join Children's Wisconsin as a Central Region RN Float Nurse and enjoy the variety of working across multiple pediatric clinics while making a meaningful impact on patient care. This position includes a float premium and primarily works Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional schedule adjustments based on clinic needs.
In this role, you will provide both triage and provider support across our Central Region clinics, including New Berlin Forest View & Southwest, Bluemound, Pewaukee, and Delafield. Schedules are developed 1 to 2 months in advance and are designed to support coverage for leaves of absence, vacancies, parental leave, and call‑ins. We strive to provide advance notice of assignments whenever possible, allowing team members to effectively plan their schedules while enjoying the flexibility and variety of a float role.
The RN role practices within the Code of Ethics and Standards of Nursing Practice. Performs triage via phone and patient messaging in the electronic health record. Delegates patient care responsibilities appropriately, and maintains accountability for the quality of care. Provides for the health education needs of families with a focus on self‑management and preventive health.
Provides care appropriate to patient population and as described in applicable policies and procedures.
