Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Registered Nurse to prepare patients, assist physicians with procedures, perform diagnostic tests, administer medications, and educate patients in the clinic. Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and exams.
• Assist physician with medical procedures and minor surgeries.
• Perform various diagnostic tests as directed.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Maintain and sterilize equipment; ensure readiness of supplies.
• Liaise between physician, outside agencies, and patient.
• Support other medical staff to maintain patient flow.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation.

Job description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient preparation, assisting the physician with medical procedures and minor surgeries, performing various diagnostic tests, administering medications, and providing patient education in the clinic. The nurse also maintains equipment, acts as a liaison between the physician and outside agencies (including hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMO's, and other physician's offices) and the patient, supports other medical staff members to maintain patient flow, and maintains accurate and complete documentation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active, unencumbered RN license in good standing (AR state license or multi‑state license to include AR)
• Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.

This job will be authorized80.00 hours bi‑weekly.
