Join the MercyOne Family! We are hiring a Clinic Medical Assistant/Clinic Nurse (LPN) at the Neurosurgery Clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain and document data including chief complaint, allergies, vital signs, pain level, medication history, and fall risk. Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures as needed.
• Perform lab/diagnostic tests following policies and report critical values to providers. Maintain quality controls and documentation.
• Assist in scheduling patient appointments, tests, and referrals. Review test preparation instructions with patients and document accordingly.
• Complete charge tickets, submit charges electronically, and obtain diagnoses from providers. Ensure billable supplies and services are documented and initialed.
• Administer medications safely via various routes, document administration, and notify/follow-up on phone messages under supervision.

Schedule:

• Full Time
• Days, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Requirements:

• Minimum of six months healthcare-related patient care experience preferred.
• Additional computer skills preferred.

Education:

Medical Assistant or LPN graduate from an approved school, with appropriate credentials and licenses.
