Job summary

Tidelands Health in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Physician Office Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care in a clinic setting. The LPN will collect health data, administer medications, support physician exams, and educate patients.

Responsibilities include medication pre-authorizations, lab result follow-up, triage of calls, rooming patients, EMR input, and inventory management. A high school diploma and SC LPN license are required; BLS within 30 days; RN preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years of LPN experience preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse in South Carolina with active license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Ordering / managing general inventory and office supplies.
• Assist with staff training.

A Brief Overview

The Clinic Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care as reflected in the SC LPN scope of practice including health data collection, administering medications, implementing patient interventions, assessing patient responses, and basic health teaching.

• Possesses skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those related to nursing.

• Computer knowledge required.

• Phlebotomy skills and experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation with South Carolina Board of Nursing Required

• Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing Preferred

• Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years is Required

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
