Job summary

Clark County Health Department seeks an RN Nursing Manager to lead nursing programs across a multi-county area. You will plan, direct, and organize services, supervise staff, and ensure policy compliance while maintaining quality nursing care.

You will oversee performance evaluations, participate in quality assurance activities, and report to the Director of Nurses/Public Health Director. Requires Kentucky RN license and advanced nursing credentials; full-time position in clinic/community

Qualifications

• RN with six years in public health, two years supervisory experience.
• BSN may substitute for four years of experience; Master’s in Nursing/Nursing Administration/Public Health may substitute for five years.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care on a limited basis; oversees nursing programs for assigned areas.
• Acts as expert nursing resource; interprets and facilitates policies to ensure uniform delivery of nursing services.
• Supervises Nurse Supervisors; ensures adequate coverage; participates in quality assurance and utilization reviews.
• Prepares formal performance reports for local and state agencies; conducts staff training and evaluations.
