Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for visits, assist physicians with procedures, and conduct diagnostic tests within the clinic. You will educate patients and maintain equipment while serving as a liaison with hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, and other physician offices to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• High School diploma or GED is required if working in the lab.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and assist the physician with procedures and minor surgeries.
• Perform various diagnostic tests and educate patients.
• Maintain equipment and liaise with outside agencies, including hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, and other physician offices.
• Support other medical staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
• When lab duties are involved, collect and process blood samples for accurate analysis and safe handling.
