Job summary

Lake Health District Hospital is seeking a Clinic Medical Assistant for PRN (as needed) shifts. The position is less than 24 hours per week, day shift, with flexible scheduling and collaboration with Physician, FNP, PA.

As a non-exempt, hourly, non-union, non-benefitted role, the MA will support clinic operations, maintain supplies and assist staff as needed in the clinic setting. Candidates should have a high school diploma and CPR certification.

Requirements

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current CPR Certification required.

Experience

• Previous Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Job Knowledge

• Capable of performing duties as assigned. Must be able to quickly learn skill sets necessary to perform clinical duties.

Skills

• Ability to communicate well with the public. Able to work effectively with team member and use tact and discretion in dealing with varying job situations. Able to maintain strict confidentiality. Able to deliver patient care under Physician supervision and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in operating Business Office computer programs. Adheres to established Hospital policies and procedures.

Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.

Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.
