Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program and approved IV therapy course.
• Nursing or other health care experience preferred but not required.
• Current LPN license in Missouri and American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Follow clinic policies to ensure patient safety and clean environment.
• Administer medications (oral, IM, SC) as ordered.
• Assist provider with procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Assist with examinations within scope of license.
• Triage calls and liaise between physician and patient; communicate test results.
• Document chief complaint and vital signs per provider preference.
• Schedule procedures and obtain precertification as required by payers.
• Train LPNs and Medical Assistants in clinic role.
