Job summary

Phelps Health, a community hospital system in Rolla, Missouri, seeks an Office LPN to support physicians with assessment, treatment and patient education in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Responsibilities include medication administration, assisting with procedures, phlebotomy, point-of-care labs, and patient education. Requires MO LPN license and BLS; IV therapy course preferred. Training provided for staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program and approved IV therapy course.
• Current LPN license in Missouri.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.
• Nursing or other health care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follows clinic policy regarding patient safety measures to ensure safe care.
• Administers medications (oral, IM, SC) as ordered.
• Assists the provider with procedures, maintaining sterile field and managing instrument trays.
• Assists with examinations as requested within scope of license.
• Phone triage and acts as liaison between physician/APP and patient.
• Documents chief complaint/visit reason and vital signs.
• Meets commitments, works independently, and is a team player.
