Qualifications

• Unrestricted license in the state of Iowa as an LPN.
• CPR certificate.
• Venipuncture skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and own judgment
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to patients in treatment.
• Perform nursing assessments and H&P's on all new admissions or readmissions when necessary.
• Review patient prescriptions and OTC medications to ensure proper prescribing and patient awareness of adverse reactions.
• Perform, interpret, and report on-site TB tests and other testing as ordered by physician.
• Carry out all physician orders including telephone orders.
• Assist the physician with clinic and rooming patients and ensure compliance.
• Record and report observed symptoms and changes to the interdisciplinary team.
