Job summary

New Beginnings Counseling Center Santa Barbara is seeking a Clinic Intake Specialist to support the intake and assessment process with compassionate, client-centered care. The role co-manages incoming requests for services, conducts initial screenings, triage crises, schedules clients, and assists counselors with clinic operations.

The position also serves as the secondary administrator for the EHR system, supports program evaluation and grant reporting, maintains community resources, and aids

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, public health, human services, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Co-manage incoming requests for counseling services via phone, website, referrals.
• Conduct intake screenings by telephone, video, and in-person.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment.
• Educate clients about services and refer to community resources when needed.
• Schedule and assign new clients based on clinical need and counselor availability.
• Provide logistical support to clinicians.
• Maintain knowledge of all programs and services.
