Metro Infectious Disease Consultants in Overland Park, KS is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist to handle front-desk duties and some back-office tasks.

Responsibilities include patient registration, scheduling, billing, specimen handling, and escorting patients to exam rooms. A minimum of one year clinical experience and a high school diploma are required, with vaccination proof provided upon hire.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical practice experience, preferably in an office setting.
• Comfort with back office responsibilities.
• Proof of current vaccinations (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, COVID-19).

Responsibilities

• Escort patients from reception to exam room and document vital signs and chief complaint.
• Register patients and update demographics; collect co-payments and process billing.
• Handle and process dictation, letters, and physician orders; manage referrals and medical records requests.
• Front-desk duties: answer calls, schedule appointments, print schedules, and coordinate with physicians.
