Job summary

Shasta Community Health Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair various mechanical and electrical systems across our campuses in California. The role entails cleaning, replacing parts, and performing general upkeep to ensure safe, compliant facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid CA driver's license, and at least three years of mechanical craft experience. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure health and safety.
• Maintain safe, hazard-free areas.
• Repair electrical systems and replace bulbs/sockets as needed.
• Maintain plumbing systems for functionality.
• Perform manual repairs (locks, windows, etc.).
• Assemble furniture and ensure safe operation.
• Handle bio-hazard waste per clinic policy.
• Empty PHI bins at all locations.
• Oversee general upkeep (landscaping, painting) and related tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
