Job summary

You will review records to determine diagnoses using ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 rules, sequence codes, and validate charges.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent upon hire.
• Experience with ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding and MS-DRG/APC assignments.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality in medical records.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records daily to determine diagnoses and procedures.
• Code and sequence diagnoses and procedures per guidelines.
• Validate charges against documentation and rectify discrepancies.
• Collaborate with management to ensure accurate account rectification and revenue integrity.
