Job summary

The Betty Hardwick Center is hiring a Clinic CCMA to support mental health patients across adult, child and adolescent programs. The role involves medication preparation, record auditing, and order transcription for both clinic and telemedicine settings.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, communicating with physicians, and issuing medications when appropriate. A Texas CCMA, valid driver’s license, and strong computer skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prep and audit the medical records for each visit prior to physician review.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately for review/signature.
• Accurately calculate and write prescriptions for physician review/signature.
• Issue medications from the Medication Room to properly identified patients.
• Assess and report symptoms or status changes to the physician.
• May provide issuance of medications as directed to patients.

Job description

The Clinic CCMA position is responsible for following Medication Clinic protocols. Clinic will serve Adult/Child/Adolescent MH patients in clinic locations in five county area. Some travel to rural clinics in company vehicles may be required. Our services are provided to both local and rural jails via telemedicine services. Psychiatric services may be provided in face to face , telemedicine or other electronic means and competency in all these areas is required. Non-direct care activities include prepping and auditing the medical records for each visit prior to assessment by the physician or mid-level prescriber requesting laboratory studies and other diagnostic procedures; transcribing physician/physician extender orders as written; accurate calculation and writing of prescriptions of medication for physician review/signature (either in paper form or electronic health/prescribing records), assessment and reporting to the physician any symptoms, adverse reactions or change in client status. This position may be required to provide issuance of medications to properly identified patients from our Medication Room. License must be maintained as a condition of employment. Administratively the position reports to the RN Clinic Program Administrator.

Qualifications:

Hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, flexible.

This is a Full-Time position. Benefits are available.

Will be eligible for a one- and two-year increase, depending on satisfactory performance.
