Job summary

Samaritan Health Services seeks an advocate, educator, and coordinator to support at-risk patients in a continuum of substance abuse services for adults and families.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in both residential and outpatient settings, using trauma-informed approaches to improve care and outcomes. A healthcare background with MA familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
One of the following required: Bachelor's in health field + 1 year healthcare exp; Associate degree + MA cert + 2 years; 3 years healthcare + 2 years customer service.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS within 90 days of hire.
Certification or Registration as Medical Assistant preferred.
Outpatient/ambulatory care, care coordination, primary care setting, chronic conditions, EMR/EHR systems.
Bilingual preferred.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Samaritan Treatment and Recovery Services provide a continuum of substance abuse services to adults and their families. Members of the Samaritan Treatment and Recovery team work in a multi-disciplinary approach, in both residential and outpatient settings providing evidenced, trauma informed treatment.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) of the following required:

Bachelor's degree in a health related field and one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting.
Associate degree or successful completion of a technical program, plus a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant and two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
Three (3) years experience in a healthcare setting and two (2) years professional customer service experience.

Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within 90 days of hire.
Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Experience in the following preferred:

Outpatient, ambulatory care and/or community healthcare.
Care coordination.
A primary care related setting.
Chronic conditions.
Electronic medical information systems.

Bilingual preferred.
