Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

    Minimum Education: All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

    Current California RN License

    Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications

    Minimum Experience: 1 year experience in Inpatient or Outpatient GI Services, ICU, Pre or post op Care Units, Cath Lab/ IR, , Emergency Department or in inpatient or outpatient surgical services.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Conscious sedation experience
