Job summary

The Spot in Thornton, CO is hiring a Recreational Youth Coach to create and facilitate climbing experiences for kids. You will collaborate with Youth Event Staff and Lead Coaches to deliver engaging programs and lead camps and clubs.

The role requires energy, leadership, and safety awareness. Availability on weeknights and weekends is needed, with opportunities across multiple locations in the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years climbing experience (indoor/outdoor/bouldering/sport).
• Must be top rope and lead belay certified.
• Preferred: Redpoint level 5.11/V5 or higher; Onsight level 5.10/V3 or higher; Safe Sport certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality climbing experiences to participants.
• Set up, supervise and clean up youth program activities.
• Lead and/or support programs such as birthday parties, group events, camps, and clubs.
• Monitor safety, enforce gym policies, and follow emergency procedures.
