Job summary

Alta Climbing is seeking a Youth Programs Coach to join our Youth Programs Team at Alta Boulders. This part-time role supports climbers and helps create a fun, safe learning environment for kids.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, maintains a positive attitude, and is comfortable with risk management and PPE policies. CPR/AED & First Aid certification is required within 90 days of hire; two 2-hour shifts per week and quarterly staff meetings are expected.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Two 2-hour shifts per week and quarterly staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Work with other coaches to provide an effective learning experience for each climber.
• Lead by example to motivate and support youth program participants.
• Manage inherent risks involved with climbing and kids.
• Maintain all current policies and procedures concerning customer facing cleanliness and PPE.
• Take initiative to help the team progress to our shared purpose – We climb higher by lifting others.
