The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist for our outdoor team in the Dulles, VA area. You will prune and remove trees, perform climbing tasks using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, and work with a crew to ensure safety and high-quality service for our clients.

We offer a $1,500 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants and hourly pay ranging from $24.50 to $32.00, depending on experience. Benefits include paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for career

Formación

• Loves the outdoors and is comfortable working at heights.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Must complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Must complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Pesticide licenses may be required by state law.

Responsabilidades

Position Overview

$1,500.00 SIGN ON BONUS FOR QUALIFIED APPLICANT

Bonus paid in increments to include $500 the first month and $500 each consecutive month

Pay $24.50 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience

Trim and remove trees, remove unwanted, diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You'll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
