Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist to trim and remove trees, focusing on safety and health of trees and surroundings. You will work on-site with a crew to prune, remove and install protective systems across various locations, including Richardson, TX.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of climbing experience, love the outdoors, and are prepared to complete Davey safety and certification programs on hire.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• 1 year tree climbing experience
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal safely and skillfully
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems as needed
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain tools and equipment safely
