Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in North Ridgeville, OH is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our team. You will work outdoors, climbing trees and performing pruning and removal services while ensuring safety and client satisfaction.

Office is outdoors with day-to-day field work. Full-time position with opportunities for advancement and company benefits; travel up to 25% may apply.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights is preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood in the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain tools and equipment.
