Climbing Arborist Crew Leader (Experienced) | San Francisco

Position Overview

Lead crew members and equipment, and plan and execute assigned work or tasks related to arboriculture.

Job Duties
  • Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems.
  • Safely lead a crew in providing arboricultural care, including pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood.
  • Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
  • Remove hazardous trees.
  • Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
  • Maintain and operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
Qualifications
  • Love of the outdoors.
  • Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire.
  • Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates.
  • Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.
