The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist Crew Leader in Kent, WA. The office is outdoors and you will lead a crew delivering professional arboricultural care to clients, employing climbing systems and ensuring safety protocols.

The role requires enthusiasm for the outdoors, completion of Davey orientations and safety courses, and preferred certifications such as ISA or TCIA. Benefits include extensive development programs and employee ownership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Complete Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses and related certifications.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.

Responsibilities

• Lead a climbing arborist crew in delivering arboricultural care to clients.
• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood; install cables, bracing, and lightning protection.
• Mentor crew members through Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.

Pay Compensation: $32.00 - $42.00

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
