Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an experienced Climbing Arborist to lead a crew on-site in the Forest Lake, MN area. You will climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems and supervise arboricultural care for clients.

We offer competitive wages starting at $30-$36 per hour, opportunities for advancement, and a comprehensive benefits package as a large employee-owned company. A strong outdoor affinity and 2+ years of climbing arborist experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a climbing arborist.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Safely and productively lead a crew in arboricultural care.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.

• Including but not limited to:
• Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process
