Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic climbing arborist based in Warminster, PA. Your office is outdoors, and you’ll join a team of tree care professionals delivering pruning, removal, and health of trees.

You’ll work with DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems, support ground crew, and perform safe, skillful services for clients. Training and safety programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees and perform pruning and removal safely for clients.
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems as needed.
• Remove hazardous trees when necessary.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws and chippers.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
