Description

Our growing tree service company is seeking a good team player with a strong work ethic to help keep clients happy. Your primary duties will include climbing, operating an aerial lift, groundsman duties, tree pruning, removal, brush chipping, stump grinding, and any other duties assigned by the crew leader. Ideal candidates should have a positive attitude, be comfortable working outdoors and at significant heights, have strong communication skills, and have an addiction to learning. Apply today!

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation and post-operation hazard and safety checks, recognizing and communicating work hazards
• Perform tree pruning and removal according to work orders, ensuring both company and customer satisfaction. This includes rigging, crane removals, and proper pruning techniques from an arboricultural perspective
• Inspect and assess tree health and risks in order to provide recommendations to customers
• Tree identification
• Basic maintenance of outdoor power equipment
• Daily truck and/or trailer pre-trip inspection
• Climbing and rigging gear inspection
• Good understanding of tree care safety standards including ANSI Z133
• Knowledgeable in intermediate and advanced rigging techniques
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a strong emphasis on teaching and mentoring

Qualifications

• Currently live within a 40-mile radius of Norwood Young America
• 1 year minimum climbing experience
• ISA arborist preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
• CPR/First Aid certificate - company provided
• Ability to lift 80 lbs

Compensation

$26 - $36 hourly
