Job summary

A Plus Tree is seeking a skilled Climber to join our Kent, WA tree care team. You will perform technical tree climbing, rigging, and safe removal or trimming of trees of all sizes, working with a crew to deliver high-quality, safe services.

You will use industry-standard climbing techniques, take part in daily risk inspections, and follow all safety guidelines. This full-time role offers a $25–$35 hourly rate, a recruitment bonus, and benefits including health plans and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional tree-climbing experience.
• Open to travel assignments.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for general employment.
• Must be 21 years of age to drive company vehicles.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-climb tree risk inspections.
• Use approved climbing techniques, gear, and basic rigging systems.
• Move throughout the canopy without climbing spurs or supervision.
• Make proper cuts aloft while following all safety standards.
• Safely operate hand and power tools while in the tree.
• Maintain a positive, team-focused attitude throughout the workday.
• Complete daily tree care tasks within your skill level.
• Follow all safety guidelines — safety is our #1 priority.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently offering a hiring bonus of $1,500*.

*Bonuses are taxed and paid in two equal parts. 50% after 90 days and 50% after 180 days.
