Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking a Tree Care Groundsman to join our outdoor crew. The role involves hauling and chipping branches, using a chainsaw safely, and helping teammates with daily tasks while learning on the job.

We offer training and a path to career advancement. This is a full-time position with variable scheduling across all seven days, and the team works outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or supported by experience.
• No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Physically capable of lifting 60+ pounds and working outdoors in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Hauling and chipping branches and brush.
• Operating chainsaw and other relevant tools safely.
• Cleaning, organizing, and following crew tasks for client work.
• Assisting other crew members and learning new tasks.

Job SummaryThe Tree Care Groundsman is responsible for hauling and chipping brush, using a chainsaw safely, cleaning and organizing work areas, inspecting, and helping other crew members with tasks and continually learning new things. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.OtherThis position is full time and may be scheduled any of the 7 days of the week.
