Job summary

The Tree Care Groundsman at Moon Valley Nurseries is responsible for hauling and chipping brush, using a chainsaw safely, cleaning and organizing work areas, inspecting, and helping other crew members with tasks and continually learning new things.

This entry-level, full-time role requires basic tool experience, the ability to lift and move items, and a commitment to safety while working outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• General laborer with experience with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment.
• Able to follow specific safety protocols.

Physical requirements/Working conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Thisposition is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.

Other

This position is full time and may be scheduled any of the 7 days of the week. Must be able to pass drug screen.
