SUMMARY:
Join an innovative team of educators supporting students with special needs in a unique and specialized setting attached to a community school. To meet the needs of students with complex learning and developmental needs, Lewiston Schools has established a multidisciplinary intensive education program designed to support students with individualized programming while encouraging them to benefit from their peers and offer access to naturalistic teaching settings.
This role is part of a highly supported team building on a strong programmatic structure for all classrooms with opportunities to individualize and innovate. The BHPs will support the special educator in facilitating a flexible class environment favorable to learning and personal independence; meaningful social interaction with peers; students to strengthen social, executive functioning, and foundational learning skills needed for success in their elementary grade education. This role offers many opportunities for team collaboration in order to best help students generalize their learning across settings.
Hourly Pay/Salary Range: $26.54 - $29.87

COURSE OF YEAR & SCHEDULE:
This is a full time role working a program-specific calendar aligned to Lewiston Public School’s academic year with 6 weeks of full time summer services as well as additional summer professional learning days.
