Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Sustainability Specialist for a 6-month engagement at a large oil and gas company in Houston, TX. The role focuses on producing accurate sustainability reporting, disclosures, and communications, aligning with standards and legislation.

You will collate information, draft disclosures, and conduct benchmarking studies to inform ongoing improvements and external communications. The position offers competitive benefits and a comprehensive insurance package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Economics, Earth Sciences or related field.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite.
• 2+ years of experience in corporate sustainability with focus on disclosure practices and strategies.
• Proficient in greenhouse gas emissions, climate-related risks and opportunities, human rights, social capital, environmental stewardship, health and safety, NGO landscape.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex issues to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as SASB, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, CSRD, TNFD and Ipieca.

Responsibilities

• Support transparent reporting of sustainability metrics to stakeholders.
• Draft and update sustainability disclosures and communications content.
• Coordinate tracking and close-out of comments on disclosures.
• Conduct research and benchmarking on sustainability topics to inform reporting and improvements.
