The School District of Philadelphia is hiring a Climate Support Specialist for the 2026-27 SY. This entry-level role focuses on creating a climate conducive to learning, monitoring student behavior, and enforcing district rules.

Eligibility includes an Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours with relevant experience and/or a high school diploma with NCLB qualification and experience in conflict resolution programs.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • 60 credit hours in a matriculated status at an accredited college or university.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and NCLB exam where required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists school staff with maintaining a climate conducive to learning.
  • Monitors, tracks and supports student behavior and enforces school and classroom rules.
  • Facilitates transitions at the start and end of the school day.
  • Assists teachers in establishing and executing classroom rules and procedures.
  • Enforces the Code of Student Conduct and district policies.
  • Participates in workshops on climate and behavior programs.
  • Intervenes to minimize conflicts between students to prevent escalation.
  • Participates in implementing the School Climate Plan.
