Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Climate Solutions Tech (Service Tech I) in the Power/HVAC division in Knoxville, TN to install HVAC and related equipment at customer sites and perform minor repairs in a safe, professional manner.

The role involves operating a delivery vehicle, installing HVAC and dehumidification/air purification gear, and providing exceptional customer service. On-call rotation and potential for advancement are core parts of the job.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common tools used in the position are important.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and clear communication are essential.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. frequently and be willing to participate in an on‑call rotation for 24/7 emergency service.

As a Climate Solutions Tech (Service Tech I) within the Power/HVAC division at United Rentals, you’ll use your skills to perform jobsite installations as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for safely operating the delivery vehicle and installing HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification equipment at customer locations. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

What you'll do:

• Minor repairs, maintenance checks and the cleaning of equipment

• Report equipment condition before and after usage

• Demonstrate equipment for customers

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
