Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Climate Solutions Tech in the Power/HVAC division to install HVAC and dehumidification equipment at customer sites, perform minor repairs, and ensure safe operation of delivery and installation tasks.

You will deliver excellent customer service while maintaining equipment condition and supporting loading/unloading activities. A High School diploma and valid license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge with repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools used in HVAC service.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record is required.
• Willingness to be on an on‑call rotation for 24/7 emergency service.

Responsibilities

• Perform jobsite installations and minor repairs on HVAC equipment in a safe, professional manner.
• Safely operate delivery vehicle and install HVAC equipment and dehumidification/air purification gear at customer locations.
• Report equipment condition before and after usage; demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Assist with loading and unloading of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned as needed.

What You'll Do

• Report equipment condition before and after usage
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge with repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Willingness to be on an “on call” rotation for 24/7 emergency service

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
