Job summary

City of Seattle's Office of Sustainability & Environment seeks a Climate Resilience & Adaptation Advisor to lead community-based climate resilience and equity initiatives in Seattle's Duwamish Valley and beyond.

You will partner with community organizations, manage interdepartmental projects, and translate policy into actionable steps, guiding capital planning and resilience investments with strong facilitation and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage community development and infrastructure investments in the Duwamish Valley.
• Collaborate with the Duwamish Valley Program Manager to implement the Action Plan.
• Work with City departments to advance climate resilience and equity initiatives.
• Support updated Climate Action Plan and translate policy into actionable steps.
