The Department of Environmental Conservation is hiring two Climate Policy Analyst 1/Trainee positions in the Office of Climate Change's GHG Mitigation Bureau. Analysts will support outreach and stakeholder engagement for greenhouse gas reduction initiatives or work on climate policy development, research, and implementation.
Role involves policy tracking, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and supporting New York State's climate goals.
Qualificações
- Four years of experience in environmental policy, climate-relevant policy preparation/implementation, or climate change analysis (Trainee 1 level).
- Valid driver's license or demonstrated ability to meet transportation needs.
- Experience substitutions based on education (Associate/Bachelor/Master/Doctorate).
- Experience with HVAC/refrigeration/utilities/chemical industries preferred for Stakeholder Engagement role.
- Knowledge of climate policy tracking, research, project management, and environmental review processes preferred for Policy Section role.

- Track climate policy progress and maintain documentation.
- Engage stakeholders and contribute to NY State's climate goals.
