Job summary

World Bank Group seeks an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) - Readiness based in Washington, DC. The role focuses on strengthening evidence-based programme implementation, results-based portfolio management, readiness events, grants, and knowledge dissemination to inform continuous improvement.

Readiness Programme supports developing countries in climate finance access and capacity building. The ETC reports to the Senior Programme Officer and collaborates with CPU and Secretariat teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in international development, public policy, climate change, environmental management, sustainability or a related field.
• 2 years of work experience in the climate finance space, with developing country experience or work with multilateral development organizations considered an asset.
• Excellent written communication and document preparation skills in English; French or Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and continuity of the Readiness Programme and related components of the Medium-term Strategy.
• Assist in planning and execution of readiness events, including webinars and workshops, and disseminate reports and evaluations.
• Support launch, review and approval of readiness grants and related documentation.
• Support results-based management, data collection, reporting, and knowledge management for readiness activities.
