Job summary

West Los Angeles College (WLAC), under the Los Angeles Community College District, seeks a 0.50 FTE Faculty Hourly Time Coordinator for the Climate and Environmental Equity Across Disciplines (CEEAD) program. The role supports statewide collaboration and faculty professional development in climate education and equity.

The individual will liaise with CCCCO Climate Fellows, Academic Senate, and California Community College faculty to advance interdisciplinary climate curricula and statewide

Qualifications

• Degree must allow teaching WLAC disciplines.
• Sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.
• Experience designing and delivering faculty development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate formation, delivery and assessment of professional development programs for faculty.
• Co-design and host training workshops on climate science, action, and environmental justice.
• Support development of CEEAD projects and materials that advance equity in education.
• Organize meetings connecting faculty with climate experts and external partners.
• Help create an open-access repository for curricula and teaching tools.
