Job summary

Plastipak in Garland, TX is seeking a Production Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will monitor settings and perform quality checks to ensure high-quality rigid plastic containers.

This role offers 12-hour shifts, advancement from within, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Manufacturing Production Technician on high-volume production equipment.
• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 70 lbs. with team lift.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor equipment settings (heat, cooling, hydraulics) to produce high-quality containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Perform quality checks on bottle weights and dimensions to meet specifications.
• Collaborate with team to identify safety, reliability, quality and scrap reductions.
• Participate in formal and side-by-side training for career advancement.
