Job summary

The Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at UCLA School of Law seeks a Communications Director to direct external and internal program communications, manage outreach, and provide general program support.

The Director will develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy, oversee media relations, newsletters, social media, events, and donor communications, collaborating with faculty and campus staff to maximize impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in communications.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience with print, broadcast, digital, and online communication strategies.
• Ability to translate research for broad audiences.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Direct external and internal program communications for the Emmett Institute.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy.
